Research Center for Vitamins and Vaccines is a center with members from many different institutions
The core is The Bandim Health Project at Statens Serum Institut and Guinea-Bissau. CVIVA has joined the Bandim Health Project with researchers at the following institutions:
- Hvidovre Hospital
- Kolding Sygehus Lillebælt
- University of Aarhus
- British Medical Research Council, The Gambia
- Nijmegen University, Netherlands
Apart from these institutions there are strong links between CVIVA and researchers at University of Southern Denmark and University of Copenhagen, as well as London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Heidelberg University.
The Bandim Health Project is member of the Indepth Network, and is leading a special working group on vaccines within Indepth, with partners from the following Health and Demographic Health System sites:
- Nouna, Burkina Faso
- Navrongo and Kintampo, Ghana
- Nairobi, Kenya
- Ballabgarh, India
- Chakaria, Bangladesh
Together with Nouna and Navrongo, British Medical Council in The Gambia and University of Heidelberg, the Bandim Health Project is currently undertaking a large EU-funded multicenter trial in Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso and Ghana.
